Plastic specific desiccants, also known as moisture absorbing masterbatch, have the core function of quickly absorbing moisture from raw materials during plastic processing, including surface adsorbed water and internal bound water, thereby completely solving processing defects caused by moisture. In injection molding, blow molding, pipe extrusion and other processes, if plastic raw materials (such as PA, PET, ABS, etc.) are stored improperly or have strong moisture absorption, the moisture will vaporize at high temperatures during processing, forming defects such as bubbles, silver lines, pitting, whitening, etc., which seriously affect the appearance and mechanical properties of the product. And the moisture absorbing masterbatch can be directly blended with new or recycled materials for processing, without the need for pre drying the raw materials, greatly simplifying the production process and improving production efficiency. It has a wide range of adaptation scenarios: when producing precision parts through injection molding, it can avoid dimensional deviations caused by moisture; When blow molding plastic bottles and containers, it can ensure that the bottle wall is smooth and flawless; When extruding pipes, it can prevent bubbles from appearing on the inner wall of the pipe, improve the pressure resistance and sealing of the pipe. The working principle of moisture absorbing masterbatch is to quickly capture moisture through the internal high water absorbing resin or inorganic moisture absorbing agent (such as calcium chloride, silica gel), and lock it inside the particles, without affecting the melting and forming of the plastic. There is no need to modify existing production equipment during use, and the addition ratio is usually 2% -8%, which can be flexibly adjusted according to the moisture content of raw materials and processing temperature. In addition, the moisture absorbing masterbatch also has good compatibility and can be perfectly blended with mainstream plastics such as PE, PP, PVC, ABS, PA, etc., without changing the basic properties of the product. At the same time, it can improve the melt flowability and processing processability, especially suitable for the recycling processing of recycled plastics, effectively solving the problems of high moisture content and difficult processing of recycled materials.
