Color masterbatch: an efficient and stable solution for plastic coloring, with outstanding adaptability to the entire process

Color masterbatch, as the core coloring agent in plastic processing, is a granular product made by mixing and granulating high concentration organic or inorganic pigments with carrier resins, dispersants, lubricants and other additives. Its core advantage lies in solving problems such as uneven dispersion, dust pollution, and unstable coloring that are prone to occur when directly adding pigments. In terms of adaptability, color masterbatch can be perfectly compatible with various plastic processing technologies such as injection molding, blow molding, roll pressing, and pipe extrusion. Whether it is the production of precision injection molded parts (such as electronic casings and automotive interior parts), blow molded hollow products (such as plastic bottles and chemical drums), roll formed films and sheets, or PE/PP/PVC pipes of different specifications, uniform coloring can be achieved by selecting the corresponding color masterbatch for the substrate. When using, special attention should be paid to the compatibility between the color masterbatch and the substrate resin. For example, PE color masterbatch needs to be matched with PE pipes and blow molded products, while PP color masterbatch is suitable for PP injection molded parts and films. If the substrate and color masterbatch carrier resin are incompatible, problems such as product delamination, color difference, and decreased glossiness may occur. In addition, the proportion of color masterbatch added needs to be adjusted according to the coloring requirements, usually between 1% and 5%. High concentration color masterbatch can be added in a low proportion to ensure the coloring effect without affecting the mechanical properties of plastic products. At the same time, high-quality color masterbatch has excellent weather resistance and heat resistance. In plastic pipes and blow molded products used outdoors, it can effectively resist fading and aging caused by ultraviolet radiation, extending the product's service life.
